Privacy

This site is small and so is this page. It says what is collected, where it goes, and how to have it removed.

Who is responsible

The site is run by ONNO Agency (Pty) Ltd, a South African company, on behalf of the author, Rozanne Day. ONNO Agency decides what is collected here and why. For anything on this page, write to hello@wasneveryou.com and you will get a person, not a ticket.

What the forms collect

The workbook form asks for your email address so the number of people who wanted the workbook can be counted and so your download link keeps working. The file is not sent to you. It downloads from the page when you ask for it. That is what it is for. If you tick "I have read the book", your answer and any comment you leave are stored with your address and read by Rozanne alone. They are never published, and a comment is never used as a review anywhere without asking you first. Nothing is sent to you unless you also ticked the newsletter box, and your address is never sold or shared.

The newsletter form collects one thing, your email address, and uses it to send you Notes to self: a short run of emails when you first sign up, then a note now and then with a tip, a reminder or an exercise, and word when there is a new book. It is never sold or shared, and it is never used to build a profile of you.

Stored with your address are the exact consent sentence you were shown and the time you gave it. That record is what your consent rests on, and it is kept for as long as you are subscribed.

The contact form takes your name if you give it, your email address, which kind of message it is, and the message itself, plus the time and a one-way hash of your internet address. The hash is there so the forms can be rate limited and abuse can be spotted; it cannot be turned back into your address. Your message is sent on by email to Rozanne so it can be read and, if it needs one, answered.

The price tag on the page stores nothing and sends nothing anywhere.

Where it is kept

Addresses are held on Rozanne's behalf by Cloudflare, in a D1 database, which keeps the record of what you agreed to and when. MailerLite sends the email and holds the list. Both act only on instructions, and neither sells your address or uses it for their own purposes. Both may store data outside South Africa, which is ordinary for email services and is one of the things you are agreeing to when you sign up.

Spam protection

All three forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated scripts. It runs inside the form and may collect technical details about your browser to make that call. Cloudflare's own privacy terms apply to it.

Analytics

Two things count your visit here, and neither is told who you are. Cloudflare, which serves the site, counts page views at its own edge. Metricool, a Spanish company, counts visits for the site's own reporting, and what it does with that count is set out in its own privacy policy. This site sets no cookies of its own, and it runs no advertising or retargeting.

Links to Amazon and other sites

The buy buttons go to Amazon, and the share buttons open the sharing pages of WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook and X only when you press them. Once you are there, those sites' terms and privacy practices apply, not these.

Saying no, and changing your mind

You can object to marketing email at any time, for any reason or none, and it costs you nothing. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and you can write to hello@wasneveryou.com from the address you want removed. You can also ask what is held about you and get a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and none of that costs anything either. Your address, your download record and any messages you sent are removed from the database and from MailerLite. If you signed up before the newsletter existed, you gave your address for one thing only, news of a new book, and that is all you will get until you say otherwise.
